Project Insights

The Project Insights section provides a visual summary of accessibility results across scans within a project.
It helps teams analyze accessibility trends, monitor issue distribution, and understand how accessibility performance evolves over time. Using charts and tables, Project Insights allows teams to quickly identify patterns, prioritize remediation, and track improvements in accessibility conformance.

Overview

The page displays multiple analytical widgets that summarize accessibility data collected from project scans.
These insights help teams understand:

  • Accessibility issue trends across scans
  • Issue distribution by severity
  • Accessibility failures and validation requirements
  • Common accessibility issues identified in the project

Each insight panel provides both Chart and Table views to allow visual analysis as well as detailed data review.

Progress Across Latest Scans

This section shows how accessibility issues change across recent scans.

The table includes:

  • Scan – The scan instance within the project
  • Project Sources – Results from different project sources such as websites or integrations
  • Issue Counts – The number of accessibility issues detected during each scan

This view helps teams compare scan results and track accessibility progress over time.

Fails – Initial vs Latest

This visualization compares accessibility failures between the initial scan and the latest scan.

It highlights:

  • The number of failures identified during the first scan
  • The number of failures remaining in the most recent scan

By comparing these values, teams can determine whether accessibility issues are being resolved or increasing over time.

Validates by Conformance

This section groups issues that require manual validation according to accessibility conformance levels.

Common conformance levels include:

  • Level A
  • Level AA

The chart displays how many issues require validation at each conformance level, helping accessibility teams prioritize review efforts.

Top 7 Fails

The Top 7 Fails section highlights the most frequently occurring accessibility failures within the project.
Each issue type is displayed with the number of occurrences, helping teams quickly identify recurring accessibility problems.

Examples may include:

  • Missing ARIA attributes
  • Invalid ARIA roles
  • Interactive elements without proper semantics
  • Structural accessibility issues

Understanding the most common failures helps teams focus remediation efforts on the most impactful problems.

Fails by Severity

This chart categorizes accessibility issues based on their severity level:

  • Best Practices
  • Blocker
  • Critical
  • Major
  • Minor

This helps teams understand severity distribution and prioritize accordingly.

Top 7 Validates

This section displays the most common issues that require manual validation. Automated tools cannot always determine accessibility compliance completely, so certain issues must be reviewed manually. By reviewing the most frequent validation items, accessibility teams can plan manual testing more efficiently.

Using Project Insights

Project Insights helps teams:

  • Monitor accessibility improvements across scans
  • Identify recurring accessibility issues
  • Understand issue severity distribution
  • Prioritize remediation activities
  • Track overall accessibility progress

By regularly reviewing insights, teams can maintain better visibility into accessibility health and continuously improve accessibility compliance across their digital properties.
